The Liberated One Who Bestows Ambrosia is the 생미륵불

1So, today, there is this saying. They say Master Sakyamuni's maternal home is in our Korea.그래서, 오늘날 이런 말씀이 있어요. 석가모니 선생의 외갓집이 우리 한국에 있다고 그래요.

2In the old Goryeo Kingdom, Master Sakyamuni's maternal home was said to be there.그 옛날 고려나라에 석가모니 선생의 외갓집이 있었대요.

3So Master Sakyamuni's mother would be Korean, wouldn't she? A person from the Goryeo Kingdom, right?그러니까 석가모니 선생의 어머니가 한국 사람이 되겠죠? 고려나라 사람이겠지?

4I heard this today.이 말을 나는 오늘 들었어요.

5As soon as I heard it today, I am conveying it to you all.오늘 듣자마자 여러분들한테 전하는 거예요.

6The Goryeo Kingdom is our Korea, isn't it?고려나라는 우리 한국이죠?

7Since the Goryeo Kingdom is precisely Master Sakyamuni's maternal home, then the headquarters of Buddhism is precisely our Korea, not India, isn't it? Do you understand?고려나라가 바로 석가모니 선생의 외갓집이라니까, 바로 불교의 본부가 인도가 아니라 우리 한국이죠? 아시겠어요?

8So the statement that 생미륵불 will appear in Korea is written in the Buddhist scriptures.그래서 한국에서 생미륵불이 나타난다는 말씀이 불경에 씌어 있는 거예요.

9We must compile the facts of these words into a book so that Buddhists, seeing those writings, will know that 생미륵불 has appeared, mustn't we?이런 말씀의 사실을 책으로 엮어서 불자들이 그 글을 보고 생미륵불이 나타났다는 것을 알게 해야겠죠?

10Even though 생미륵불 has appeared, do Buddhists know now, or do they not know?생미륵불이 나타났는데도 불자들이 지금 알고 있어, 모르고 있어?

11It is written in Nirvana Sutra Volume 5 that 생미륵불 is the person who brings down 감로.생미륵불은 감로를 내리는 사람이 생미륵불이라고 열반경 5권에 씌어 있어요.

12It is written that the person who brings down 감로 is precisely the enlightened one, isn't it?바로 감로를 내리는 사람이 해탈자라고 씌어 있죠?

13The enlightened one is precisely 생미륵불.해탈자가 바로 생미륵불이에요.

14That the person who brings down 감로 is 생미륵불, do most Buddhists and monks know, or do they not know?감로를 내리는 사람이 생미륵불이라는 것을 불자들과 스님들은 대부분 알까, 모를까?

15They know, don't they?알고 있죠?

16Even though they know, the reason they don't know that the only place that brings down 감로 is this 승리제단 is because all our 승리제단 family members are mute, mute!알고 있으면서도 이제 감로를 내리는 곳이 이 승리제단밖에 없다는 것을 모르는 것은 우리 승리제단 식구들이 전부 벙어리이기 때문에 그런 거예요, 벙어리!

17Mute people who cannot speak. Though they have mouths, they don't speak, they don't blow the trumpet to let others know.말 못하는 벙어리. 입은 가졌으되 말을 해서 나발을 불어서 알려주지 않아가지고.

18You all must let this be known, mustn't you?이걸 여러분들이 알려줘야 돼, 안 알려줘야 돼?

19Buddhists are waiting for 생미륵불.불자들은 생미륵불을 기다리고 있어요.

20Buddhists are waiting for 생미륵불, and they know that when 생미륵불 comes, it will become a world where people do not die, and when 생미륵불 comes, all people in this world will become Buddhas and it will be a world where people do not die, don't they?불자들은 생미륵불을 기다리고 있는데, 생미륵불이 오면 안 죽는 세상이 되고, 생미륵불이 오면 이 세상 사람이 전부 부처님이 되어가지고 안 죽는 세상이 된다는 걸 알고 있죠?

21So they know it will become the Pure Land, don't they?그래서 극락세계가 된다는 걸 알고 있죠?

22Therefore, when 생미륵불 appears like this, what kind of flower blooms, they say?그런 고로 이렇게 생미륵불이 나타나면 무슨 꽃이 핀다고?

23우담바라!우담바라!

24They call it 우담바라, but originally in the Buddhist scriptures, it is written as 우담화.우담바라라고 하는데 원래 불경에는 우담화라고 쓰여 있어요.

25He said that 우담화 blooms, didn't he?우담화가 핀다고 그랬죠?

26In every temple, 우담화 is blooming.절절(사찰)마다 우담화가 피고 있어요.

27So monks say that 생미륵불 has appeared somewhere, now.그래서 스님들이 생미륵불이 어딘가 나타나셨다고 그래요, 지금.

28But the reason they don't know that he is in 승리제단 is because there are only mute people in this 승리제단, that is why those people don't know.그런데 승리제단에 있는 걸 모르고 있는 것은 뭐냐 하면, 이 승리제단에 벙어리들만 있기 때문에 그 사람들이 모르는 거예요.

29Why do those people not know that?그 사람들이 그걸 왜 모르고 있어요?

30You all must let them know, mustn't you? You must let them know, right?여러분들이 알려줘야 돼, 안 알려줘야 돼? 알려줘야지?

31By letting them know, all Buddhists, as Sakyamuni wished, should come to where 생미륵불 is and be made to obtain 영생, mustn't they?알려줘 가지고 불자들을 다 석가모니가 원하는 대로 생미륵불이 있는 대로 와서 다 영생을 얻도록 만들어줘야죠?

32Is such a duty upon you all who are answering, or upon those people outside who are not answering?그런 의무가 대답하는 여러분들에게 있어, 대답 안 하는, 저 바깥에 있는 사람들에게 있어?

33Do you know it, though?알긴 아나?

34But why don't you convey it?그런데 왜 전하지 않아?

35I don't know what you mean.무슨 소리인지 난 모르겠어요.

36Precisely you all have the duty I must do, the responsibility I must bear, the mission I must accomplish, don't you?바로 여러분들이 내가 해야 할 의무, 내가 해야 할 책임, 내가 마땅히 해야 할 사명이 있는 거죠?

37But if one cannot fulfil the mission I must accomplish, then, so to speak, does a person who cannot fulfil that mission have the qualification to come to 승리제단?그런데 내가 해야 할 사명을 다하지 못하면, 그 사명을 못하는 사람은 말하자면 승리제단에 나올 자격이 있어?

38Qualification, eh? What did you say?자격이, 엉? 뭐라고?

39You're building up qualifications?자격을 쌓는다고?

40You're honing and polishing?갈고 닦는다고?

41I have nothing to say to that.그 말에 내가 할 말이 없네.

42Regarding honing and polishing, I have nothing to say.갈고 닦는다는 데, 내가 할 말이 없어.

43You all must hone and polish yourselves and achieve everything, mustn't you?여러분들이 갈고닦아서 다 이루어져야겠죠?

44You all must become Buddhas, mustn't you?여러분들이 다 부처님이 되어야겠죠?

45Humans are originally the children of Buddha.사람은 원래가 부처님의 아들이에요.

46Because they are the children of Buddha, the children of Buddha are Buddhas, aren't they? Can the children of Buddha become animals?부처님의 아들이기 때문에, 부처님의 아들이 부처님이지, 부처님 아들이 동물이 될 수 있어요?

47They cannot, can they?될 수 없죠.

48So precisely, a dog's child is a dog, a cow's child is a cow, a monkey's child is a monkey, but can only Buddha's children become humans?그래서 바로 개자식은 개이고, 소자식은 소고, 원숭이 자식은 원숭이인데, 부처님 자식만 사람이 될 수 있을까?

49Buddha's children are Buddhas, aren't they?부처님 자식은 부처님이죠?

50So precisely, you all, living with the mindset 'I am Buddha', is that a natural course of action, or a wrong course of action?그러니까 바로 여러분들이, 여러분들이 ‘나는 부처님이다’는 마음을 가지고 사는 것이 그게 당연한 처사에요, 잘못된 처사에요?

51It's natural, isn't it?당연한 거죠.

52그래서 이제, we must save all Buddhists of all nations in the entire world first, mustn't we?그래서 이제 온 세계 만민의 불자들을 전부 제일 먼저 살려줘야 돼, 안 살려줘야 돼?

53Since 생미륵불 has come, we must first gather the Buddhists and save them, mustn't we?생미륵불이 왔으니까 불자들을 먼저 모아서 살려줘야겠죠?
