Insights for Life Chapter 4

Finding Happiness: A Guide to a Fulfilling Life

In this world, there are two kinds of people.

Ultimately speaking, there are unhappy people, and there are happy people.

Happiness comes from within the heart; happiness is not about good living conditions.

For one's heart to be joyful, cheerful, and happy, that person must always have a joyful heart to be happy.

If that person's heart is always sad, or if that person lives amidst complaints and dissatisfaction, that person is unhappy.

So, when it comes to people, if you look at someone who leads a happy life, they have a sound philosophy of life.

A sound philosophy of life exists only in those who have established values.

In other words, in a person's life, there are those who are content in their hearts, and those who feel lacking.

All of that contentment exists in those with values, but those without values have no contented heart.

The establishment of values exists only within the hope of 영생, and for those without hope, values cannot be established.

So, to achieve the establishment of values in one's heart, there must be hope, and you all come to 승리제단 with the hope of 영생, don't you?

Is there anyone without the hope of 영생? No, there isn't, right?

Indeed, for people, values are established only in those who have the hope of 영생.

So, a person with unwavering values can indeed lead a happy life.

Why is that? Because those who live with the hope of 영생 establish values of 영생.

In other words, even if I suffer, because I think I am suffering on the path to 영생, even if I suffer, will I be content in my heart, or not?

I will be content, right?

So, for a person to have a sound philosophy of life, only then can that person truly live happily in this world.

A person whose philosophy of life is not sound, especially an ignorant person, is destined to live a life of idleness and gluttony.

Because they live relying only on food, if they eat their fill, they are content, but if they are hungry, they simply strive and exert themselves to satisfy that hunger.

So, they don't hesitate to steal, and they end up stealing from their neighbour's house.

However, a person whose philosophy of life is sound, if they take something belonging to another, when that person realises their own thing is gone, will their heart ache, or not?

Their heart will ache, won't it?

Then, for the person who stole another's possession, will their heart be anxious, or not?

Because they are anxious, even when they sleep, will they sleep with their legs curled up, or stretched out?

They'll sleep with their legs curled up, won't they?

So, why live in this world like that? That is the question.

This world where one can live freely and at ease, stretching out one's legs as much as one wants, why live in it with such anxiety? That is the question. Do you understand?

So, precisely because people are ignorant, a sound philosophy is not established.

As for people, 이제 그대로, those who have received education and grown up from childhood have their moral views and philosophy of life established.

So, if I take that person's possession, thinking about how much the person who lost it will ache in their heart, even if I went in with the intention to steal, I am destined to turn back and come out. Right?

So, people should not live anxiously in this world,그래서 사람이라는 것은 세상을 불안하게 살지 말고,

As for people, this world, 이제 그대로, they must become the kind of person who always lives with a grateful and contented heart, only then will all things naturally go well.

If one has an anxious heart, will that anxious heart show on their face, or not?

It will show, right?

So, even if people try to do business or interact with them, when they look at their face, they see a state of anxiety, and because they have a heart filled with fear, will their impression be hideous, or beautiful?

It will be hideous, right?

Therefore, even if one tries to do business with that person, if their impression is hideous, will they turn away, or not?

They will turn away, right?

So, a person who always lives in hope, do they have peace of mind, or not?

They have peace of mind, right?

A person with peace of mind, does a smile appear on their face, or fear?

A smile appears, right?

So, people must always have hope, people must live with a firm philosophy of life, only then is that person destined to live contentedly in this world, and destined to live happily in this world.

So, the reason why some live long and some do not, is that those who do not live long have anxious and restless hearts, and because their hearts always lack joy, they always live in fear, don't they?

Such a person, a person who always lives in fear, their blood decays.

For a person whose blood decays, their face becomes dark and sallow, and their impression transforms into a very hideous one.

So, it doesn't show much when one is young, but when one reaches middle age or older, that person's state of mind is destined to appear on their face.

So, when a person reaches middle age or older, their impression naturally worsens, close friends cut ties, and neighbours who were close become distant. Right? Isn't that so?

So, this world can only be lived in if people cooperate with each other; if they don't cooperate with each other, they cannot live in this world.

So, now, even if you evangelise, evangelism only happens if the person receiving the evangelism cooperates by listening; if you talk to someone who has turned their head away, refusing to listen, will they listen?

They will not listen.

Why it has come to be that way is something we need to consider.

My face, or rather, a person's face, is like a screen that depicts the heart, that expresses the heart exactly as it is.

Therefore, a person whose face always wears a smile, who always shows a contented smile, is their impression good, or not?

Their impression is good, right?

However, a person whose heart is always anxious, who always lives in fear, pursued by something, will their impression worsen, or improve?

It will worsen, right?

No matter how much one tries to make their impression good, if their heart is always trembling with anxiety, if their heart always lives amidst complaints and dissatisfaction, will their face wrinkle, or not?

No matter how much one applies make-up to look pretty, they don't become pretty, and because their face keeps wrinkling and wrinkles keep forming, does their impression worsen, or not?

It worsens, right?

So, there is no need for people to focus only on applying make-up.

First, I mean, adorn your heart.

If you adorn your heart, you open your heart wide and always look far ahead; if a person lives looking ahead at least 10, 100, 200 years, and into eternity, a person's heart becomes infinitely vast.

The human heart is like a rubber balloon; if you expand your heart, it can grow as much as you want.

So, if a person has hope, their heart grows larger in proportion to the hope they have.

So, when a person lives their life, they are naturally destined to live a happy life.

A happy life is a flower that blooms in a contented heart. A contented heart.

So, if one is content with reality, and does not have complaints or dissatisfaction with the reality they always face, if they always live contentedly and always with gratitude to 하나님, their face will bloom like a flower.

So, you hear remarks like, "Your face looks young for your age."

There are people who hear such words, aren't there?

Remarks like "You look young for your age," "Your impression is truly good," there are times when you hear such words, aren't there?

Why is that? It is because their heart is beautiful.

If one's heart always regards a sibling's situation as their own, regards a sibling's body as their own body, and respects and serves a sibling as if they were 하나님, then one's heart immediately becomes joyful. Do you understand?

Why does it become joyful? Because if you respect and serve the other person, the other person will also, in turn, serve you, respect you, or not respect you?

They will respect you, right?

So, do you naturally become joyful, or not?

The difference between a person who lives in joy and a person who lives without joy is like heaven and earth.

A person who lives in joy is always content, so if they have a contented heart, their face blooms white. Their face blooms white.

However, a person who has complaints and dissatisfaction, or a person who lives with a heart pursued by fear, because their dark heart is always anxious, their face is dark and their complexion gradually darkens.

So, the talk about whether your impression is good or bad comes from whether your heart is content, or whether your heart is anxious.

So, what is always written in the Bible about people? It is written, "Do not worry about tomorrow," isn't it?

"Do not worry about tomorrow," and "for the day's own trouble is enough for the day," it said, didn't it?

So, because people always live in reality, they must live content with reality; from a contented heart within reality, worldly possessions arise, worldly money arises, and all that one desires in the world is destined to come before them.

Therefore, when it comes to people, it is not that one is outstanding just because they always act as a lone wolf and think they are superior by themselves.

An outstanding person becomes outstanding when many people acknowledge them as great and outstanding; do they become outstanding just by thinking they are superior by themselves?

They do not become outstanding.

Therefore, when it comes to people, they must always, always humble themselves, respect others, and regard them as 하나님, and live with a philosophy of always serving others as if they were 하나님; only then does that person's value increase, and that person's existence becomes a great existence. Do you understand?

So, when it comes to people, a person who lives with the hope of 영생 is the one who lives with the greatest philosophy, isn't that so?

So, a person who lives with the philosophy of 영생 always has a contented heart, so now, whether things go well or not, they are grateful.

Why are they grateful even when things don't go well? Because by things not going well, a powerful, explosive strength to start anew arises, and because it creates such an explosive strength, are they grateful, or not?

They are grateful, right? Right? Isn't that so?

So, people must always now live with sound values.

Is it valuable for me to live with the hope of 영생, or is it valuable for me to live idly and gluttonously without the hope of 영생? If you judge this, the answer comes immediately, doesn't it?

So, should one have the hope of 영생, or not?

One should have the hope of 영생, shouldn't one?
