감로

The character 甘 (gam) means 'sweet', and 露 (ro) means 'dew'. If the characters are interpreted literally, it means 'sweet dew', but in Buddhist scriptures, it is said that when Maitreya Buddha comes, he bestows gamro upon sentient beings, preventing them from dying, and in Gyeogam Yurok, it is said that when Jeongdoryeong comes, he bestows gamro Haein, bringing about a new heaven and earth.

When gamro is actually photographed, it appears in various pentagonal shapes of light white, red, purple, etc., and their sizes vary. In the brief moment when the camera shutter is pressed and the aperture opens, countless of these pentagonal shapes rapidly rotate and fly, overlapping, so the subject sometimes appears as if it is riding on a cloud.

Some people see gamro directly with their eyes, and when gamro flies in, some people hear sounds with their ears, and feel as if something is enveloping their body. Even those with dull senses smell a fresh and sweet fragrance with their nose, and are sometimes startled as if hit by a hot fireball.

The flying gamro itself is the true essence of Maitreya Buddha.
