7But would they have researched methods on how to prevent those earthquakes from happening, or would they not have?그런데 그 지진을 어떻게 하면 못 일어나게 하나 하는 방법을 그들이 연구했겠어요, 안 했겠어요?

8Although they researched, because they do not know the fundamental theory that prevents earthquakes from happening, can they therefore prevent earthquakes from happening?연구를 했지만은 그들은 지진이 일어나지 않게 하는 그러한 근본 학설을 모르고 있는 고로 그런고로 지진이 일어나는 것을 막을 수가 있어요?

9They cannot.막을 수가 없습니다.

10When this person once went to Japan and was worshipping at the Tokyo제단, this person was staying at a hotel, and an earthquake occurred in Tokyo.이 사람이 일본에 언젠가 가서 동경제단에서 예배를 볼 때에 호텔에 머물고 있는데 동경에서 지진이 일어난 겁니다.

11So the hotel building was moving violently. Shaking.그래서 호텔 건물이 막 움직여요. 흔들리고.

12But when the hotel building was moving, were our family members scared, or were they not scared?그런데 이 사람이 호텔 건물이 움직일 때에 우리 식구들이 겁을 냈을까, 겁을 안 냈을까?

13They were scared and were only looking at this person's face. This person's face.겁을 내고 이 사람 얼굴만 쳐다보는 겁니다. 이 사람의 얼굴을.

14Why is that? It's because they believe the 구세주 can stop an earthquake of that magnitude, isn't it? Right? Isn't that so?왜 그러냐 하면 구세주는 지진 정도는 막을 수 있다고 믿기 때문에 그렇겠죠? 그래요, 안 그래요?

15So this person said to those Japanese people, "Don't be afraid, it will stop after a little while." This person said such words.그래서 이 사람이 그 일본 사람들에게 말하기를, "겁내지 마라, 잠시 잠깐 그러다가 말 것이다." 이 사람이 그런 말을 했습니다.

16If one doesn't have the confidence to stop an earthquake, can one say such words?지진을 막을 자신이 없으면 그런 말을 할 수 있어요?

17One cannot say such words.그런 말 못하는 겁니다.

18The earthquake was happening just as it was, and buildings next to houses were collapsing violently. While seeing such things with one's own eyes, this person told them not to worry because it would be fine in a little while.그대로 지진이 일어나서 막 집 옆 건물이 막 무너지고 그러는데, 그런 걸 눈으로 보면서 조금만 있으면 괜찮을 테니까 걱정하지 말라고 이 사람이 말을 했던 겁니다.

19At that time, 이제 그대로, our 제단 family members believed this person's words, felt relieved, and all the 제단 family members gathered at this person's hotel.그때에, 이제 그대로, 우리 제단 식구들은 이 사람의 말을 믿고 안심을 하고 제단 식구들이 전부 다 이 사람의 호텔로 모여 온 겁니다.

20They gathered at the hotel and believed that where I was would be safe, didn't they?호텔로 모여서 내가 있는 곳은 안전하겠다고 믿었던 거죠?

21So when this person was evangelising to a new member for a long time and said such words, a Japanese person, a non-believer, snorted and laughed.그래서 이 사람이 새 식구한테 한참 전도할 때에 그런 말을 하니까, 일본 사람, 안 믿는 사람이 콧방귀를 픽 뀌면서 웃어요.

22"Oh, what is he, after all? Without even having the ability to prevent an earthquake, why is he saying, 'Just wait a little, it will be fine'?" That's what he was asking."아, 지까짓게 뭔데, 지진을 못 일어나게 할 수 있는 능력도 없으면서 조금만 기다려라, 괜찮을 테니까" 하는 소리를 하느냐는 소리죠.

23In fact, ordinary people cannot say such words.사실은요, 보통 사람은 그런 말을 못합니다.

25The ground cracks, people fall into the cracked ground and die, and such tragic things happen.땅이 갈라지고 그 갈라진 땅속으로 사람이 들어가서 죽고, 그런 비참한 일이 벌어집니다.

26That is why a person who says not to worry when an earthquake occurs is considered a mad person.그렇기 때문에 지진이 일어날 때에 걱정하지 말라고 하는 소리를 하는 사람을 미친 사람으로 여깁니다.

27They think, "Isn't he a bit out of his mind?"정신이 약간 돌은 거 아니야? 하고 여기는 겁니다.

28That Japanese person went to a corner over there, and went to a place where this person couldn't be seen, (while twirling his finger) he shook his head, implying, "Isn't he a lunatic?" That's what it was.그 일본 사람이 저쪽 구석으로 가더니 이 사람이 안 보이는 장소쯤 가서 (손가락을 빙빙 돌리면서) 고개를~ " 또라이가 아니냐?" 그거죠.

30So, that person came to find me first and asked, "Teacher, where on earth does your ability to stop this earthquake come from?"그러니까 그 사람이 제일 먼저 찾아와서, "선생님은 도대체 이 지진을 막을 수 있는 능력이 어디에서 나옵니까?" 하고 물어봐요.

31So I said, "The ability I have to stop the earthquake is done by 하나님's Spirit."그래서 "내가 지진을 막을 수 있는 그 능력은 하나님의 신이 하는 것이다."

32When I explained that "the fundamental reason this earthquake occurs is that 하나님's Spirit in the ground breaks through weak parts of the earth's crust, and that's why earthquakes happen," that explanation made sense to them."바로 이 지진이 일어나는 근본이 바로 땅속에 있는 하나님의 신이 지반이 약한 부분을 통해서 뚫고 나오기 때문에 지진이 일어나는 것이다"고 말을 하니까, 그 말은 납득이 가는 거든요.

33So, that person looked at me again, and there was a time when that person regarded me positively.그러니까 다시 한 번 그 사람이 나를 쳐다보면서, 이제 그 사람이 긍정적으로 여길 때가 있었습니다.

34The hotel building just shook to the extent that it swayed back and forth.그냥 호텔 건물이 왔다 갔다 할 정도로 흔들렸습니다.

35People standing inside that hotel building all fell down. They stumbled and fell, due to the shaking.그 호텔의 그 건물 안에서 서 있는 사람들은 다 쓰러졌습니다. 넘어지고 쓰러졌어요, 흔들려서.

39So, our family members ask, "주님 must know how this earthquake stopped, right?"그러니까 우리 식구들도 어떻게 이 지진이 멈췄는지 주님께서는 아실 것이 아닙니까? 물어봐요.

40"Even if I know, I cannot speak of it.""알아도 말 못 한다."

41"Stopping such things belongs to a heavenly secret, so if I speak of such things, an earthquake could happen again!""이런 것을 막는 것은 하나의 천기에 속하기 때문에 이런 것을 말하면, 지진이 또 일어날 수가 있다!"

42When I said, "If it's alright for an earthquake to happen again, I will tell you as you ask!""지진이 또 일어나도 괜찮다면, 말해 달라는 대로 말해 줄게!" 하니까
