The root of greed is original sin

1I clearly said. I said that if you commit sin, you will surely die.내가 분명히 말을 했습니다. 죄를 지으면 반드시 죽는다고 이야기했습니다.

2Only those who do not commit sin do not die; if you commit sin, you die.죄 안 짓는 사람만 안 죽는 것이지, 죄지으면 죽습니다.

3So, what is sin?그래서, 죄라는 것이 뭐냐?

4Sin is precisely what is stated in James 1:15: "Then desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is fully grown, brings forth death."죄라는 것은 바로 야고보서 1장 15절에 "욕심이 잉태한, 즉 죄를 낳고, 죄가 장성한, 즉 사망을 낳느니라."

5So, this statement is the same as talking only about a tree with its roots removed.그러니까 이 말은 뿌리를 제거한 나무만 말하는 것과 똑같은 겁니다.

6It only said that desire is sin, but why didn't it talk about the root of desire? Because if you talk about a tree, the root is also part of the tree.욕심만 죄라고 말을 했지, 사실은 욕심의 뿌리에 대해서는 말을 왜 안 했느냐면, 나무를 말하면 뿌리도 나무나 한가지입니다.

7A tree grows on its roots; is there a tree that grows without roots?나무가 뿌리 위에서 자라는 것이지, 뿌리가 없이 자라는 나무가 있습니까?

8So, people who do not know the ways of the world form Christianity, and people who do not know the ways of the world form the Buddhist religion.그러니까 세상 이치를 모르는 사람들이 기독교를 이루고 있고, 세상 이치를 모르는 사람들이 불교 종교를 이루고 있는 겁니다.

9So, this person is saying that is not religion.그러니까 그것은 종교가 아니라고 이 사람이 말하는 겁니다.

10Where is there a tree without roots?뿌리 없는 나무가 어디 있습니까?

11If that desire is sin, then the consciousness of 'I', which is the subjective consciousness that harbours desire, is also sin, isn't it?그 욕심이 죄라면 욕심을 부리는 주체의식이 되는 '나'라는 의식이 역시 죄예요, 죄 아니에요?

12It is sin, but it becomes the root of sin, doesn't it?죄는 죄인데, 죄의 뿌리가 되는 거죠?

13So, when we talk about the root of sin, we call it 원죄 biblically, don't we?그러니까 죄의 뿌리라는 것을 우리가 말할 때, 성경적으로 원죄라고 하는 거죠?

14We call 원죄 the root of sin, don't we?원죄를 죄의 뿌리라고 하는 거죠?

15So, it is written in the Bible that 원죄 is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, isn't it?그러니까 원죄는 선악과라고 성경에 쓰여 있죠?

16So, this person said from the beginning that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is precisely the consciousness of 'I', didn't he?그러니까 선악과가 바로 '나'라는 의식이라는 것을 이 사람이 초창기부터 말했죠?

17So, if a person is to resolve sin, they must eliminate even the consciousness of 'I' which is the root; only then will there be no sin. If the root remains, even if you cut down the tree, it will sprout again someday, won't it?그러니까 바로 사람이 죄를 해결하려면 뿌리가 되는 '나'라는 의식까지 없애버려야 그래야 죄가 없다가 되는 것이지, 뿌리가 남아 있으면 언젠가는 그 나무를 잘라버려도 또 싹이 나요, 안 나요?

18It sprouts again and becomes a tree, doesn't it?또 싹이 나서 나무가 되는 거죠?

19So, the logic of people in this world today is all 마귀's logic.그래서 바로 오늘날 이 세상 사람들의 논리는 전부 마귀의 논리입니다.

20마귀's logic is the logic of deception.마귀의 논리는 속임수의 논리입니다.

21So, it is a logic without roots.그러니까 뿌리가 없는 논리입니다.

22However, this person, while discussing a logic with roots, taught that since desire is precisely sin, the consciousness of 'I' which harbours desire is precisely the root of sin, thus 원죄, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, didn't he?그런데 이 사람이 뿌리가 있는 논리를 논하면서 바로 욕심이라는 것이 죄니까, 욕심을 부리는 '나'라는 의식이 바로 죄의 뿌리니까 원죄요, 선악과가 된다고 이 사람이 가르쳐 주었죠?

23But in reality, do Christianity or Buddhism know how to discuss the root of sin, or do they not know?그런데 사실은 기독교나 불교는 죄의 뿌리에 대해서 논할 줄 알아요, 논할 줄 몰라요?

24They don't know how to do such things, do they?그런 걸 할 줄 모르죠?

25Do they not do it because they don't know, or do they not do it even though they know?몰라서 안 할까, 알면서도 안 할까?

26They can't do it because they're ignorant. Because they're ignorant. Do you understand?무식하니까 못하는 겁니다. 무식하니까. 아시겠어요?

27So, 마귀 is an ignorant spirit; 마귀 is a truly, exceedingly ignorant spirit that knows absolutely nothing; that is 마귀's spirit.그러니까 마귀는 무식한 영이요, 마귀는 아주 아무것도 모르는 정말로 너무너무 무식한 영이 마귀의 영입니다.

28However, a person called 구세주 appeared and is teaching that the consciousness of 'I', which is the root of desire, is 원죄 and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, isn't he?그런데 구세주라는 사람이 나와서 욕심의 뿌리인 '나'라는 의식이 원죄요, 선악과라고 가르쳐주고 있는 거죠?

29Now that you've heard it, is it right, or isn't it?듣고 보니까 맞아요, 안 맞아요?

30Before hearing it, did you all know, or not know? You didn't know, did you?듣기 전에는 여러분들도 알았어, 몰랐어? 몰랐죠?

31One who teaches the unknown so that it is known is a teacher; if one cannot teach that, does one have the qualifications of a teacher, or not?이 모르는 것을 알도록 가르쳐주는 자가 선생이지, 그걸 못 가르쳐주면, 선생 자격이 있어요, 없어요?

32One does not have the qualifications of a teacher.선생 자격이 없는 겁니다.
