Hello, this is Cho Hee-Seung, the president of the Eternal Life Society.
Today, I will deliver a sermon titled ‘The Bible’s Secret to Not Dying: The Immortal Human Body.’
Many people consider the Bible’s words to be about humanity. However, the Bible primarily speaks about God.
If you look for the motive and cause of man’s death in the Bible, there is a record that Adam and Eve died because they ate the Forbidden Fruit.
Understanding the Forbidden Fruit
Yet, few explain what the Forbidden Fruit truly is. In fact, its nature remains widely unknown.
The Bible refers to it as ‘the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.’ Since the Bible’s words are spiritual, this Fruit must also be spiritual. Consequently, this spiritual Fruit represents the spirit, or the heart.
Furthermore, the scriptures state that Adam and Eve gained knowledge of good and evil after consuming the Forbidden Fruit.
Did Adam and Eve know nothing about good and evil before eating this Fruit? Or did they possess some knowledge already? A closer look at the Bible reveals they knew only goodness before their transgression.
Indeed, Adam and Eve already understood goodness before eating the Forbidden Fruit. This is because they were created in the image of God.
Being in God’s image means being identical to God. This implies that the Spirit of God filled Adam and Eve.
Therefore, if the Spirit of God filled them, it means God’s Heart filled them. Since God’s Heart embodies goodness, the spirit of goodness resided within Adam and Eve.
Thus, Adam and Eve, filled with God’s good heart, clearly knew goodness before partaking of the Forbidden Fruit.
Since Adam and Eve already knew goodness, their coming to know good and evil after eating the Forbidden Fruit signifies that they additionally came to know evil.
This additional knowledge of evil implies that the heart knowing evil became the Forbidden Fruit. In other words, the Forbidden Fruit represents the heart that knows evil. This evil heart is an evil spirit, which is the god of evil. Ultimately, the god of evil is the devil. Consequently, the Bible expresses the Forbidden Fruit as the devil.
However, many who teach the Bible today do not recognize that the Forbidden Fruit symbolizes the devil.
Therefore, we should interpret this as the devil taking over Adam and Eve, rather than them literally eating the devil, the Forbidden Fruit.
In essence, Adam and Eve eating the Forbidden Fruit signifies that they consumed the devil’s heart.
Before eating the Forbidden Fruit, Adam and Eve bore the image of God. What does this mean? First, it means they were identical to God. Second, it implies their self-consciousness was the Spirit of God.
Therefore, the Bible states that Adam and Eve were initially God. Those who portray them as separate beings from God do not understand the Bible in detail.
Thus, Adam and Eve bore God’s image, and their self-consciousness was the Spirit of God. Consequently, they resided within God.
The Devil, Self-Consciousness, and Sin
Other Bible verses instruct us to walk in the Spirit.
Walking in the Spirit implies that one is not currently doing so. To walk in God means that you, like Adam and Eve, were initially in God.
Therefore, Adam and Eve, who were originally in God and were God, lived in the Garden of Eden—a paradise untouched by death.
However, from the moment the devil, the Forbidden Fruit, occupied them, humanity began its descent into death.
Therefore, the devil, the Forbidden Fruit, is nothing but the self-consciousness of the ‘I’.
This ‘I’ self-consciousness is the ‘apple’ of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Consequently, the ‘I’ self-consciousness represents sin itself.
Therefore, the Spirit of God, our conscience, becomes imprisoned in the devil’s prison. This spirit of conscience, trapped in a spiritual prison, descends through many generations. Indeed, the devil has suppressed the Spirit of God for six thousand years.
Viewing the Bible broadly, one can scientifically explain its words: people die because of the devil’s spirit.
Therefore, the devil is the ‘I’ self-consciousness. It is scientifically possible to explain that people’s blood rots due to greed, and this desire ultimately leads to death.
Greed, Blood, and the Cause of Death
James 1:15 states that ‘lust has conceived, and gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.’
This verse means that greed itself is sin, and sin itself is death.
Therefore, although the Bible says that people die because of greed, no one has explained why people die just because of greed.
When people become greedy, their blood rots. For example, if you devour food with greed, you may suffer severe indigestion.
When you acupuncture the patient’s fingernail-root with a needle, black, rotten blood flows out.
Here’s what happens: greed causes blood to rot. This rotten blood then blocks capillaries, leading to gastric dysfunction. Consequently, severe indigestion and stomach pain occur because the organ becomes paralyzed due to blocked blood flow.
Thus, greed causes blood to rot. If this explanation isn’t sufficient, consider another example: a person who worries and feels anxious often develops freckles on their face.
Freckles indicate that worry and anxiety cause blood to rot.
Specifically, freckles are the phenomenon of rotting blood accumulating in the capillaries.
Therefore, freckles scientifically prove that blood rots due to worry and anxiety.
What kind of mindset, then, leads to worry and anxiety? It is the sense of greed—the desire to obtain what one cannot.
Therefore, worry and anxiety are manifestations of intense greed.
Therefore, the phenomenon of facial freckles is scientific proof that blood rots if greed acts.
Therefore, today, blood rots due to greed, and germs are created within this rotten blood. Moreover, these germs reproduce in the putrid blood, ultimately causing disease and death.
Therefore, the root cause of disease is that blood rots due to greed. As the blood rots, germs form within it, leading to illness.
Furthermore, the human body contains a certain amount of blood. If the quantity of rotten blood increases…
For instance, imagine a person’s body has 100 units of blood. If 10, 20, 30, 40, or even 50 units become rotten, the amount of uncorrupted blood will decrease proportionally.
Uncorrupted blood creates new cells during renewal. Consequently, if only fifty units of uncorrupted blood remain, only fifty units of cells can regenerate.
Because only fifty percent of cells regenerate, the entire body’s cells will comprise only fifty percent new cells. This leads to the aging phenomenon.
Therefore, only 50% of cells must sustain the liver, form the heart, develop the stomach, and so on. Since only 50% of cells regenerate, aging occurs. Furthermore, as germs generate and reproduce in the rotten blood, people become sick and eventually die.
Today’s medical community is focusing only on killing germs.
Of course, killing germs weakens the power of the disease.
However, this approach does not uproot the disease.
Rotten blood continuously generates germs. Even if you kill existing germs, the corrupted blood still produces more. Therefore, this method fails to address the root cause of the disease.
Hence, the medical community fails to uproot disease because it does not recognize that greed causes blood to rot, and germs subsequently develop in this rotten blood.
The Bible’s Path to Immortality
Therefore, although the Bible contains scientific truths, no one has correctly interpreted it until today because no one has received the Holy Spirit.
Consequently, the Bible states that we die because of our sins. Conversely, it implies that we will not die if we cease committing sins.
This is precisely why, despite the Bible containing the secret to not dying, no one has correctly taught these profound words.
Today, teaching the secret of being free from greed and the secret of not committing sins is equivalent to teaching the Bible’s secret to not dying. Therefore, people can achieve a state where they cannot die, even if they wished to.
Although the Bible details the secret to not dying, many assert that death is God’s will. The scripture stating that death is the cost of sins implies that if a power exists to resolve sin, and sin is indeed resolved, then humans will not die. This misunderstanding arises because people do not fully comprehend the Bible before its true owner emerges. Therefore, those who claim death is God’s will or a natural part of life fail to recognize the Bible’s fundamental meaning.
The Bible reveals God’s wish for the restoration of the Garden of Eden. This signifies a place where death does not exist, and one can live forever in paradise.
Although the Bible states that people do not die unless they commit sins, many ask, ‘How can we not sin?’ They believe, ‘We are bound to sin, and there is no choice but to sin; it is a rule for a person to die once.’ However, such interpretations and translations of the Bible are incorrect.
Therefore, today, I am biblically interpreting the records in the Bible that reveal the secret to not dying.
The Bible passage, “when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death,” means greed itself is the sin, and the sin itself is greed.
Therefore, if greed itself is sin, it is not greed that is greedy, but rather the ‘I’ self-consciousness.
If greed itself is the sin, the self-consciousness of ‘I’ is the sin.
In the Bible, sin manifests as self-committed sin, hereditary sin, and original sin.
Therefore, the self-consciousness of ‘I’ is original sin, hereditary sin, and self-commit sin.
Since the self-consciousness of ‘I’ is sin, everything that ‘I’ do is sin.
Thus, the Bible instructs us to ‘walk with God,’ ‘have the heart of God,’ and declares, ‘you are saved when I am in God, and God is in me.’
Moreover, scripture states that people must be born again by the Holy Spirit.
To be born again by the Holy Spirit means to be born again as the Spirit of God.
This verse implies that humanity was initially God. To be born again by the Holy Spirit, as a ‘god of God,’ means we must restore our original state as God.
Therefore, the fundamental point of the Bible’s soteriology is to ask people to be born again as the ‘god of God.’ Only by becoming God can one achieve eternal life, fulfilling the Bible’s secret to not dying, and enter the Kingdom of God.
Therefore, a close examination of the Bible reveals that the Kingdom of God is neither ‘here nor there’; instead, it resides within your hearts. Furthermore, the Kingdom of God exists wherever God is present.
Putting this together, when the Spirit of God resides in the human heart, and God insists upon it, the human heart becomes Heaven and God’s house. However, many world religions today preach that Heaven is physically ‘up in the air’ and even sing hymns about ascending to the atmosphere.
Such interpretations stem from ignorance, leading to incorrect teachings.
Therefore, if we believe and live biblically today, the Bible offers words of salvation, revealing the secret to not dying.
Consequently, anyone who reveals the secret to not sinning and the secret of eternal life is the true shepherd, the protagonist of the Bible.
Therefore, I emphasize that the Bible is fundamentally about the secret to not dying. Since the entire Bible is the word of God, and God is the God of eternal life—an immortal God who does not die—it follows that as people were initially God, when you become God again, you cannot die.
Today, despite the Bible stating that salvation comes only through being born again by the Holy Spirit, many disregard this truth and spread incorrect teachings.
Therefore, being born again by the Holy Spirit for salvation practically means that God must eliminate the devil—the ‘I’ self-consciousness. Then, the Spirit of God becomes the new ‘I’ self-consciousness, leading to salvation.
Consequently, humanity’s current self-consciousness is the spirit of the devil. For this reason, I constantly teach the secret of eradicating the devil’s spirit.
The secret to killing the self-consciousness of ‘I’ is to have the heart of God, as the Bible says. If we embrace the heart of God, we are destined to kill our current self-consciousness.
Having the heart of God is simply receiving the Spirit of God. Practically, this means receiving the Spirit of God from those who have already received it. This process is synonymous with being born again by the Holy Spirit. Moreover, the Bible instructs us to ‘always forsake yourself.’
Why are we told to forsake the self? Because the ‘I’ is the devil; the ‘I’ is sin. The spirit that claims ‘I’ embodies original sin, hereditary sin, self-committed sin, and the ‘apple’ of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. For these reasons, the Bible commands us to forsake the self. Yet, those ignorant of the Bible still teach, ‘I believe in God so that I enter Heaven.’
Therefore, the Bible is saying that the ‘I’ cannot be saved.
The statement ‘the Kingdom of God is wherever God is’ is equivalent to saying that the ‘I,’ a human sinner, cannot be saved.
Therefore, the saying ‘the Kingdom of God is wherever God is’ means that only God, who has been born again by the Holy Spirit, will gain salvation and enter Heaven. Since Heaven resides in the heart of the living, dead people cannot enter it.
Based on biblical passages like ‘die for sin’ and ‘enter hell for your sins,’ a person dies because of sin. Therefore, the claim that the dead enter Heaven is unbiblical.
Therefore, the dead died due to sin; people die because they could not resolve their sins. This is why the assertion that the dead enter Heaven is unbiblical.
Therefore, it is unbiblical to say that the dead have gone to the kingdom of God, and it would be false testimony.
Therefore, the Bible clearly states the secret to not dying, and that the dead cannot enter the Kingdom of God.
The Nature of Life, Spirit, and Body
According to John 1:1 and subsequent verses, God created this world with the Word. The Word is life, and life is light. Light, in turn, is the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit. Since the Spirit is light and light is life, life itself is spirit, and spirit itself is life.
Also, it is recorded in Proverbs 4:23 that the source of life is in the heart.
This passage, ‘the source of life is in the heart,’ means that life itself is the heart, and the heart itself is life.
This further implies that life is spirit, spirit is life, life is the heart, and the heart is the spirit.
Additionally, Leviticus 17:11 and Genesis 9:4 both state that blood is life.
Therefore, life is blood, and blood is life. Since life is spirit, and spirit is life, and life is blood, it follows that blood itself is spirit.
These Bible verses are very scientific.
Today, the human heart functions like a blood pump. However, we call it the ‘heart’ because the activity of blood directly reflects the activity of the mind. Thus, we refer to it as the heart.
Hence, blood is the mind, the mind is life, and life is blood. Since life is also spirit, blood is spirit. Furthermore, the spirit itself is mind, and the Bible clearly states that the spirit itself is life.
Therefore, if blood is spirit, then blood becomes flesh and forms a body. The Bible states that the human body itself is a spirit.
Therefore, the phrase ‘born again by the Holy Spirit’ implies that the human body is a spirit and a god.
Therefore, these words declare that the human body is spirit. If a person’s body is spirit, then the body must not die for the spirit to remain alive. Conversely, if a person’s body dies, it signifies that their spirit has also died. This interpretation perfectly aligns with the Bible’s teaching that ‘man dies for sin,’ revealing the Bible’s secret to not dying.
Therefore, it is a popular but unbiblical myth that souls go to heaven after people’s death.
Overcoming Death and Restoring Immortality
Today, I have presented the Bible’s secret to not dying in the human body.
The human body was initially created in the image of God, which was immortal. However, the moment the devil occupied humanity, they transformed into a life destined to die.
Therefore, the devil’s element—the element of death, the seed of sin—must be removed so that a person can achieve immortality.
Therefore, I preach that you should regard your brother’s body as your own, your brother’s sin as your own, and your brother’s fault as your own.
All human beings are one body.
Indeed, no one exists who is not part of this single body.
Therefore, all people in this world are formed from the blood of their mother and father, grandparents, great-grandparents, and so on. Tracing back through previous generations, we find that humanity was ultimately made from Adam and Eve, from God’s blood.
Therefore, all humanity in this world is one blood and one body. Consequently, it is normal to think as one body.
However, thinking of others as separate bodies is a devil’s thought—a spiritual state akin to mental derangement, overshadowed by the devil.
Hence, all humanity in this world is in a spiritual state of mental disease.
When the devil’s spirit is removed from this state of madness, the normal spirit—God—governs humanity. God then restores the immortal body, revealing the Bible’s secret to not dying.
